Hi, I'm Tiler Peck and I'm a Principal with the New York City Ballet
and I'm the official spokesperson for Body Wrappers
[ music ]
I've been doing it, since I could walk.
It's just my way of expressing myself through movement.
When you're on the stage, to let go of yourself and, kind of find yourself in a different way.
When I buy a leotard I mean, basically the first thing is comfy
You know, you're going to be in this all day. [ laughs ]
I spend more time in a leotard than I do in my actual clothes so if I'm gonna wear it it's gotta be comfortable.
So the fabric I think is the most important, and then of course the style
[ music ]
For an Audition, I think it's very important to be clean
no legwarmers, no baggy clothing
you really want to show off your body and your lines and your feet and your arms, everything
it's going to be harder to say, well, "Who's the girl in the black?" when 15 girls are wearing black
but it's easier to say, "You know the girl in the red, is...really good," or something like that.
If it's something you love, then you should do it.
If it makes you feel good, I think that, of course you should do it
no matter what anyone's telling you.
You know, I love going into the class where everybody's like, "Oh, that's a really cute leotard, where'd you get it from?"
And most of mine are from Body Wrappers
