Setu Bandhasana, Bridge pose. We're going to do Bridge pose as a supported pose, encouraging
the shoulders to be grounded, encouraging lifting the sternum toward the chin. Often
times people are tucking their chin in. We want to do just the opposite. So what I'm
going to ask Jennifer to do, is just sit up slightly so that I can put this strap, so
that it goes right here on her shoulder blades and then I'm going to wrap it forward and
then she's going to grab onto it. She's going to lie herself back down and then I'm going
to ask for the strap back. She's going to rest her hands down by her hips, and she's
going to bring herself into Bridge pose.
I'm going to use my feet to encourage her shoulders to stay down, but I'm going to use
the strap to lift her chest and pull it back. You always want to keep the nose and chin
in line with the sternum, ankles, knees in line with your hips. And then she can release
the pose.
