Hi my name is Karl James owner of Creolesoul catering located in Round Rock, Texas and
on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to continue on with this series we call making a meal
and in this is part two of that series of the first side dish which we are going to
make garlic mashed potatoes. Okay now our next step here is to peel our potatoes we
are using just regular potatoes here but if wanted you can use new potatoes, leave the
skin on. Here we are going to remove the peel, I'm using a potatoes peeler cause it is a
lot quicker and you don't loose a lot of the potato when you are doing this. But if you
wanted if you didn't have a potato peeler feel free to use a small knife to peel the
potato. I find a lot of time using the knife you cut away more potato then you like but
just take your time with it, watch your fingers, and just take the skin off. Like I said we've
completely peel the potato, we would boil them in some salt water until they are really
tender and soft so we can mashed those with the garlic. So I will continue to peel or
potatoes, get them ready to boil and we would move on to our next step.
