The HP T300 and T350 Color Inkjet Web Presses bring a whole new level of features and performance
to high-volume printing applications. The T300 prints a web up to 29.1 inches wide at
400 feet per minute. While the T350, upgradable from the T300, prints at 600 feet per minute.
High-quality results are produced on a wide range of media at 1200 nozzles per inch native
resolution and at full press speed. A remarkable aspect of both the HP T300 and T350 is the
arched paper path through each print engine. To optimize performance, tension in the web
stabilizes the paper as it moves at 400 or 600 feet per minute. 10 print bars, each with
7 HP inkjet print heads, are arranged along the arch. The print engine prints with four
colors of ink and HP bonding agent. Each printhead prints a 4 and one quarter inch wide swath.
Each printhead has 10,560 nozzles at 1200 nozzles per inch native resolution across
the web. A key feature of the printhead is nozzle redundancy. With redundant nozzles,
printheads can continue to provide high-quality output, even if some nozzles aren’t working.
If a printhead needs replacement during maintenance, it takes only a few seconds using a simple
snap-out/snap-in process. The presses deliver four-color halftone printing at full speed
of 400 or 600 feet per minute. HP pigment inks deliver durable high-quality print on
uncoated, treated and coated stock. Using HP bonding agent, the HP T400 offers broad
media compatibility with standard uncoated offset stocks, including groundwood and newsprint.
Print quality can be further improved using uncoated papers with ColorPro technology.
And high speed ColorPro coated papers, co-developed with HP’s partners, deliver the highest
quality at full press speed. The press is built on proven HP technologies in thermal
inkjet and HP’s high performance ProLiant blade servers. Powered by HP technology, the
data processing pipeline delivers 100 percent variable content in four colors at full press
speed. The modular writing system and electronic hardware, partitions the image on the web
into overlapping slices, about as wide as a single printhead. These slices are processed
in parallel. With modular hardware, monochrome and color presses share the same design rules
and basic components. This simplifies press design and improves maintainability. The HP
T300 and T350 Color Inkjet Web Press: versatile, reliable, productive and built on proven HP
Inkjet and information processing technologies.
