bjbjm In terms of the clinics, yeah. Pretty similar actually, you know for years my parents
would take me to the local MD clinic like every six months or so. They would stretch
or they would take an x-ray of the curvature of my spine. Yea, like you said, it just didn't
seem to be much point after a while. I think that my experience a lot of those visits was
that I was used as a teaching tool, I was a prop for a doctor to point at my body and
talk students, his residents or whatever and that they were using me, I wasn't benefiting
from it. My parents saw that too and we just stopped going. No I think I did at times.
When I was a kid I think they would pay for some stuff like that. Maybe my wheelchair
at the time. They have not bought any of my wheel chairs. They probably paid for some
physical therapy. So I'm not saying that they don't do anything for anybody. I think they
do some good, but the affect on the mass conciseness of the telethon is um... I don't think it
can be justified by those benefits, you know we have to see how that hurts all people with
disabilities. By keeping alive this notion that we're pathetic and that we rely on the
kindness of strangers to be able to live our lives. I went to a neighborhood preschool
and kindergarten and then for first and second grade I went to a segregated school for children
