Ardha Matsyendrasana, half lord of the fishes. As in all of our poses, we need to be balanced
in the sit bones. We're going to extend your right leg, grounding the heel, activating
that leg. And we're going to encourage the left leg to step over the right knee. So again,
pausing to check that the hips have not changed, that you can still use your hands to lengthen
your spine, we're going to use your inhale to lift the left arm, and with an exhale,
we're going to twist to the left; follow your hand with your sight. When you're done twisting,
you're going to utilize your hand; the left hand by the base of your spine, as a second
spine, to create more length. We're going to invite the right hand to the left knee;
drawing that left leg across your body, lengthening the spine, releasing the shoulders, activating
that right leg, so that the inner groin to the big toe is as equally stretched as the
outside of your leg. Spinal twists are excellent pose to relieve toxins out of your organs.
We're going to repeat this pose on both sides.
