>> I know it's cool to be in your own little bubble,
but it's not cool to act like somebody in their eighties
who can't hear when you're in your twenties or thirties.
The point is, you know, even as a young person,
you can hurt yourself, and you don't know it now.
And we'd be bad parents if we didn't offer a solution to it,
and the solution is just moderation.
That's all.
You can still enjoy; you can still party.
You can still have fun,
but don't destroy your eardrums in the process.
It's really simple.
>> I've spent my life working with kids,
and so I care about them.
And there's a lot of simple things
that we can do as grown-ups.
I'm always asking myself: "Who's the grown-up here?"
And this is a simple thing that we know about,
that we've got this technology, and kids don't know how
to use it, and we need to tell them how to use it.
Otherwise, they're going to be paying for it
for their whole lives.
>> We're also big supporters of ASHA's "Listen
to Your Buds" campaign, and our listeners,
they're primarily kids under the age of ten.
And we just feel like this is a great campaign.
And, you know, we want to support it and get the message
out to our listeners and get them listening carefully
and with responsibly to personal listening devices while
they're young.
I wish we had a campaign like this when I was a kid.
