Since before the revolution
the regime's men have been beating us up,
humiliating us,
raping us,
and torturing us,
in our streets...
So I went to the car... They asked me to come and call people but I told them no, come with me.
We went to the car and I knocked on the window,
and said "Excuse me sir, can I just see the car registration papers and your ID?"
Then I saw two battalions coming from the Parliament building,
and everyone ran away, leaving me by myself.
He took out a pistol and said "Yes, it's me kidnapping them"
then he hit me on the head. After that I didn't feel anything until I arrived here.
A human has a right to their freedom and humanity.
I'm not asking for them to bring us diamonds from the sky, or money from the Gulf.
We just want people to live in freedom.
When I'm walking around anywhere
I don't want some policeman to stop me in the street and demand protection money.
We all know it happens. All this has to be stopped.
and in our town squares...
What happened was that the army beat up a woman,
took her clothes off and beat her.
The girl was almost gone.
We ran towards her so we could pick her up,
but the army came back and beat us up again.
That's it.
Who are they trying to fool?
They're merciless.
They have no feelings.
And in courtrooms...
Ahmad Taha my brother is in prison!
[Ahmad's father:] Ahmad is 17 years old.
He hasn't turned 18 yet. He has his high school graduation exams this year.
But this is the end of the school year.
I can't tell him to finish the year, to take his exams.
So I'm going to the High Court because he was humiliated,
abused and sexually assaulted inside the High Court.
So I want to know, who are these people who assaulted him?
Who arrested my son in the first place?
Who are those people who were wearing civilian clothes, as stated in the file, and who arrested my son?
And in the country's prisons...
[Essam Ata's brother:] Essam was taken on February 25th,
and tried on February 26th, the very next day, at ten in the morning,
without his family knowing, without even him knowing, whether or not he'd been convicted.
My mother was with him on the 25th. He was tortured in front of her,
and we couldn't do anything for him for two days.
Then on the last day, the 26th of October, he called me,
at 11.30 at night, saying "I'm being tortured and I'm dying."
"Save me, do something, anything."
I couldn't help him at all.
So I will fight to avenge him until I die.
Either we die like them or avenge them.
And in military prisons...
Down with military rule!
Hey, Field-Marshal, get the hell out of here!
OUT! Field-Marshal! OUT!
And in police stations...
And in our museums...
Our schools...
Universities...
Homes...
I demand my right to a life without torture
Fight with us for a life without torture
El Nadeem Center is open 24/7 to receive complaints of torture
