Here we are, Tatiana...hello!
Hello!
How is being in the board, Tatiana?
Nice question!
Well, I think everybody knows that passion is the first thing leading you
If you've already understood what you like and what motivates you, it's much easier to take a responsibility
But nobody was born to be a boardie, you become it
What I understood is that if you dive into the boardie's career, you learn very much
You learn teamwork...especially in FR, you make a step into the job world
Something you cannot usually do at university
You take little and big satisfaction in signing contracts of even thousand of euros
And then you learn a lot about your personality and about how to make it better for the job environment
So...I think that...
being in the board is an unmissable and unique opportunity, especially for you now being ready to get it
one year ago, in this period, i was in BEST only from 4-5 months
someone came to me asking "Do you wanna administrate the Board of BEST Rome?"
i was not sure because i didn't know how to do it
It was like when you find a box with an electrical appliance inside
i opened that box and i found not a simple appliance but a hard one, like the Bimby
I found also an instruction manual, i read it and i started to learn, to cook
So BEST Rome gave me the opporunity to learn something of complex
complex as the Bimby appliance, the *** i said
Being in the Board of BEST Rome gave me also the opportunity to grow up
to get angry, to improve my managerial skills
the ones that i needed as PR responsible
and most of all to improve the contacts with external people
I mean (sono più cacacazzi di prima)
Ciaooo good luck!
Sooo
Niko asked me today
how was being part of the Board in the last year?
and I was thinking
that since I was a child
I've always dreamed to..
to play in a band
(...)
aaaand..
but..
but I've never been able to
I mean I've never been able to play in a music band
basically because I've never been able to play an instrument properly
however I realised in the end
thaaaaat
that..being in the Board
it's like being part of a music of band
so, everyone has his own instrument
everyone has his own tune, everyone has his own melody
..the point is
that problems come when you need
to tune all the instruments and you are not synchronized on the same beat you know
and..basically this is the main thing on what you work during the year
trying to synchronize everything
in order to..
in order to make
the PR
the FR
the Events Responsible
the Secretary
the Treasurer
and the President
to make them playing all the same music
and if you are wondering about the role of the HR
well
the HR should be the orchestra leader!
So..
your goal
next year
it will be to lead the new orchestra
or the new music band that we'll arrange..
on the 31th ( May)
thanks to the election night of...
bla bla bla bla bla blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa
bla bla bla bla bla blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa
blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
bla blaaaaaaaaaa
Being in the Board is a difficult commitment
Often you quarrel with everyone
for useless decisions, well you have to work for a year with all different personalities
but then you see that around you is growing a group, a team
and you see that events come out
new situations develop
and you realize that for all this time what you did
is a service to the LBG
The treasurer in particular is a position
very tough because
everybody looks at you
to give a budget for an event, so
essentially to organise it [Niko] Les pouces en avant!
And to maintain the sustainability of the LBG [Niko] La *** en avant!
And so you never have a big load of work
but you must be always there
Ardita what does it mean being part of the board?
(strayed a bit because there are people behind)
So, what can I tell you guys...
I can only tell you that...
(Niko: uuuh goodbye!)
it’s a unique experience...
and that to me has opened a new world this year!
Working in a team of 7 people and particularly being the leader of this team is not easy
I would say it is a unique opportunity that it’s been offered to you
(Ryanair staff: sorry, you’re not allowed to take pictures!)
(Eh...we should apologise)
it’s a unique opportunity that it’s been offered to you and that this year I decided to seize it
and decided to take up this experience
I know I’m not very good in finding the “right words” and you know me pretty well
but...I can say that I’m very satisfied from this experience
and for me BEST Rome....has become like a second family
and the board has been like the head of this family!
And as we all know his main duty is...
to raise his children and educate them in the BEST way!
I really hope that this year together with the board, together with my team...
we put every effort to educate all the members of BEST Rome!
And I know you now see a tired President...
but don’t you think that is only hard working!
It’s also fun!
Now we just came back from Brussels
and I really feel that at the end of this mandate...
...sometimes you’re sorry to leave
but sometimes you are aware that you have to do it and let the stage to the next ones
Guys I wish you all good luck
and I hope you will enjoy this year!
Hi people, I just came back from Brussels and as you see
I’m already sending e-mails,
even if anyway these are things I do with pleasure
What being in the Board means?
As you know, I started in the middle of the mandate
and luckily
I found a family that welcomed me with open arms,
made me grow up,
held my hand in difficult moments
and made me always give my best.
When you work for this group
you always try to give your best, you give everything
and you do it with pleasure
and each little effort is repaid by the smile
and the face of all your fellow boardies
and of all of the LBG.
Being part of it made me truly happy
and I hope that everybody manages to have this experience
Ah, speaking about it
if there's someone thinking that our "cage" isn't decent
well he never traveled around Europe,
don't ever get inside BEST Brussels office!
