You know we've seen this coming for a long time and yet I still don't think there's a proper appreciation
of different this is going to feel.
We anticipate there's going to be
as this decade plays out
a net loss
it the forty five to fifty five year olds unjust based on people moving up
the age structure
and so that's where you get a lot of your community leadership
whether it be on main street are sorry in the city council and sell at a groups are
trying to grapple with
really engaging young leaders
rebuild that civic infrastructure.
one thing I think is helpful to keep in mind is that even though aging is going to transform our state
the boomers will really transforming what aging means
as they continue to leave the workforce in part or full
we'll really benefit from that wave of volunteerism that will only
increase
and so our state certainly stands to benefit from
those really positive outcomes
