Hi. I'm artist Tara Reed and today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about having an art business and Weeble Wobbles.
I used to have Weeble Wobbles when I was little
and they were much smaller than this if I recall... but I found these in the store the other day and started thinking about what a great analogy Weeble Wobbles are.
If you take a look and you remember the whole thing about Weeble Wobbles is that they wobble but they don't fall down.
And that is absolutely what you need to be like as an artist, especially in art licensing.
You need to be able to take rejection without falling down.
You need to be able to take it, learn from it,
and get back up.
If you aren't able to understand that sometimes your art isn't going to be the best fit for a manufacturer
and not take it personally, then you will be able to succeed in licensing.
So I encourage you all to channel your inner Weeble Wobble, learn to roll with the punches and always get back up.
You will never be a failure as long as you keep trying.
