5 Things That Will Ensure Your Success There are many things in life that are just
downright daunting. We put them off because they seem as huge and insurmountable as mountains.
That's especially true when it comes to home time management. In this video I want to highlight
5 things that will help ensure your success. 1. Figure Out What You Want
I don't care how smart you are... I'm talking to myself here too... if you don't know what
you want there's a good chance you're not going to get it. That also applies to how
you want things to change in regards to your home time management.
You need to have crystal clear ideas about what changes you want in your life.
2. Figure Out What You Need To Get It When you have crystal clear ideas about what
you want then you can figure out how to get it. It may take some thinking for a week or
two... toss around some ideas... sketch out some tentative solutions... but you'll gain
an understanding of at least in what general direction you need to head.
Alternately… and quicker… take an afternoon at a coffee shop. Take no one with you and
leave your phone at home. You can come up with some pretty amazing solutions... even
if you don't understand right now how you'll implement those solutions.
They may seem like mountains right now but those ideas you come up with are a start.
Even mountain climbing is made easier with the correct tools and training.
For example, you may know you need to eradicate mealtime madness but don't know how or where
to start. Need: Menus. You may know you need to spend more time with
your teen while he still wants to but you're not sure where to find the time or what to
do with him if you were able to make some free time. Needs: Available time; activities
to do together. You may want to free up your weekend by getting
more efficient at housework. Need: Learn speed cleaning.
Or, how about getting the kids helping out around the house. Need: Guidance on kids and
chores. 3. Determine You Won't Settle for Less Than
Results Often when we're researching a problem the
path is as follow: Google problem-- Find blog-- Make a new social network-- Spend copious
amounts of time chatting about shared problems-- Google new problem.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed that nowhere in that path was there action
toward meeting any kind of a goal. If you're not taking action toward meeting
a goal then it's a pretty sure bet that you won't meet it. That's where #4 comes in handy.
4. Find the Right Home Time Management Coach While somewhat of a new concept, the right
person can keep you pointed in the right direction much like a map keeps a traveler on path.
The right coach… like Yours Truly… is one who helps you identify ways and means
to meet your goals. 5. Taking Action
The results come from one thing... action. If you are ever going to get your home time
management under control it's going to take good old-fashioned action... not thoughts,
ideas, or intentions. Because it's absolutely crucial to your success,
let me reiterate a very important concept that could be holding you back, Action is…
and will always be… the critical element in your success or lack of success.
