Hello everyone, my name is Nilsor and welcome to The Dragon Cook Tavern
In this show I’m going to propose to you recipes
to bring food and beverages from video games into real life
Today we are going to make some Bread of the Dead
which is a recipe coming from World of Warcraft
and only available during The Day of the Dead seasonal event
occuring on november 1st and 2nd each year
In the game it is made of
1 flour and 1 milk
For about 12 bread pieces
the things we will need are going to be
300g or a little less than 3 cups of flour
15g or 1 tablespoon of baker’s yeast
You can use baking powder instead but the dough will be less big
75g or half a stick of room temperature butter
75g or 1/3 cup of sugar
125ml or 1/2 cup of milk
50ml or 3 tablespoons of heavy cream
And a bit of salt
Now let’s do it
Mix together the milk and the baker’s yeast
Pour in a bowl 100g or 1 cup of flour and mix it with the milk
Cover the bowl with a clean cloth then let it sit for 30 minutes
After that, pour the mix on your workstation
Then add the rest of the flour on top
Make a little well
and add the sugar
the salt
the cream
and the butter cut into pieces
Now mix all the ingredients with your hands until it becomes a dough
If it is too sticky
don’t hesitate to add more floor
Now put it down on a plate
cover it with a clean cloth and let it sit for at least 2 and a half hours
Now we are going to prepare the bread pieces
Take a bit of your dough
roll it between your hands
then squash it a bit on your workstation
Make two of the edges in straight line
With your thumbs, push two little holes for the eyes sockets
Take a little bit of dough then roll it
Cut the pieces you need to make the mouth
and the pieces of rope closing it
Then make two little balls of dough for the eyes
Then finally
take a knife and carve the little holes for the nostrils
Repeat the process until you are all out of dough
Then let it sit for about 15 minutes
During that time
preheat your oven at 180°C or 350°F
Put all your bread pieces on a tray
and put it into the oven for about 30 minutes
And voilà!
