Breaking Bad Fan Club alert! Vince Gilligan guest-stars on Community and Aaron Paul feels
the Need for Speed. This is EW's Must List for Thursday, March 13.
He created Breaking Bad and wrote some of the best episodes of The X-Files, but tonight
Vince Gilligan goes in front of the camera on NBC's Community. We don't know what role
he's playing, although the episode's plot involves a hidden stash of textbooks and a
VCR game. Or maybe the whole episode will just be about the cast of Community asking
Gilligan about the series finale of Breaking Bad. "Tell us what happened to Jesse!" they'll
scream.
Well, we know what happened to Jesse...kind of. Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul headlines
Need for Speed, the long-awaited adaptation of the videogame where cars drive real fast.
The film opens in theaters tonight. Even if it manages to be just okay, it will still
be one of the best videogame movies ever.
Former Game of Thrones barbarian Jason Momoa puts on modern-day clothes for The Red Road,
the new noir TV show on the Sundance Channel. Set in the Ramapo Mountains bordering New
York and New Jersey. Jason Momoa plays an ex-con returning to the Lenape tribe, possibly
with evil intentions. Okay, probably with evil intentions.
If you're in the mood for awesome dance music that also sounds like it could've been a soundtrack
for a Super Nintendo RPG -- first of all, marry me, and second of all, go listen to
Electric Ocean, the new album by Scraps. It's actually a one-woman operation, created by
Australian musician Laura Hill. I've never met her, but based on this album, I'm assuming
that she's secretly a Casio Keyboard that gained artificial intelligence.
That's all for today, but check back tomorrow for Must List details on the Veronica Mars
movie, starring Kristen Bell and lots of sweet-sweet Kickstarter money.
