okay guys thanks for tuning in
I'm going to show you how to quickly tune up your windows 7 computer
and get the best out of your system
I'm going to get straight into it
In search area type in msconfig
that brings up msconfig
launch msconfig
go across to services, these are system services that load when your computer starts
run through those and disable system services you don't need
for example there is adobe acrobat update service, I don't need that running
in the background
when the computer starts
a lot of these services are microsoft system services so if you aren't sure
what these services are leave them alone
what else can I disable
wlan auto config, I don't need because I'm hard wired into my network
windows media center receiver
turn off those services
you can go through your system services and see what you don't need running
disable those you don't need
if in doubt leave it alone
go to startup tab
and here you can see if that
a few programs that are
also loading when windows starts
skype
Skype uses a little bit of memory and doesn't need to start automatically
Skype will still run by clicking Skype icon on desktop when needed
i've actually been that the skype icon on the desktop
but I don't need Skype starting automatically also adobe reader
leave my avast anti virus alone
I'll try that
okay
Its asking me do I want to restart
the next time I restart those changes are going to take effect
