Apple - iPod touch 16GB (5th generation, 2013) - Review Hello everyone. Mirza here
with a review of the 5th generation Apple iPod Touch
16GB. The iPod touch is available for $229 dollars
from the Apple Store. In terms of design, the iPod touch is constructed of plastic
and
glass. Its dimensions include a height
of 4.86 inches, a width
of 2.31 inches and depth
a .24 of an inch. It weighs 3.08
ounces.The iPod touch features a 4-inch
retina display with a screen resolution of 1136
by 648 at 326 pixels per inch,
a FaceTime HD camera, and home button.
On left are the volume controls.
On the right is nothing. At
the top is the sleep/wake button and microphone.
At the bottom is the headphone jack, lightning connector,
and built-in stereo speaker. At the back is the Apple logo
and iPod insignia. Internally,
the iPod touch has a dual-core A5 chip,
a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 802.11N Wi-Fi,
and Bluetooth 4.0 technology. The iPod touch runs the latest Apple mobile
operating system:
iOS 7. For benchmarks, the iPod touch scored 617
in Geekbench. To demonstrate the iPod touch's performance,
I had several applications running in the background and will now launch a few
complex media web sites including the The Verge,
Engadget,
and
YouTube. For gaming,
I will demo Asphalt 8.
As for battery life, Apple claims up to eight hours.
I however was able to achieve six and a half hours.
In the end the iPod touch is a great mobile device for the price
despite the few compromises which include a rear facing camera,
color options, and the iPod touch loop. And this concludes my review
of the 5th generation Apple iPod touch 16GB.
