San José Public Library welcomes you to the Bascom Branch Library.
My name is Rosa and I am a librarian.
We recently opened, and in case you missed our grand opening let me give you a quick tour.
Follow me!
As soon as you walk in, you'll find the Market Place where you can browse through
DVDs, music CDs, and check out our new book collection.
Your library will have a Tech Center with 12 computers that are equipped with internet
access, Microsoft Office, and are connected to the print and copy center.
You're also welcome to log on to our free Wi-Fi which is available throughout the building.
On the way to the Family Place you'll find children's chapter books, paperbacks and
non-fiction.
The Family Place has great picture books and this is where you can enjoy story
time.
You will also come across more children's books as you make your way to the Family Learning
Center.
If you are interested in taking an English Class, becoming a US Citizen, or want to learn
to use a computer then the Family Learning Center is the place for you.
It is surrounded by the adult fiction and non-fiction and language collections.
On our way to the Teen Room you will come across the special interest collections which
include: computers, gardening, home improvement, and test and career books.
Not to mention audio books are also available nearby. As well as, two group study rooms
that can be reserved online and a quiet study room that overlooks Del Mar Street.
In our Teen Center you can browse through our fiction, classic novels and magazines
or use a computer.
Come here to learn about teen contests, events and teensReach meetings.
If you have a question, need to check your account or pick up a free
library card stop by the information desk.
During your visit, don't forget to stop by the Parks and Recreation Center located
next door, to learn more about the classes and services they offer.
I hope you've enjoyed this quick tour of the library.
Hope to see you soon!
