You can now send text messages, make calls, navigate directions
and much more using the Vlingo Voice Talk feature on your Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate.
Watch this video to learn how.
To begin, from any home screen select Applications.
Next find and select Voice Talk.
If this is your first time using Vlingo, you will be asked to accept the terms and conditions.
If you agree to Samsung's terms and conditions, press Confirm to continue.
If you agree to Vlingo's terms and conditions, press Agree to continue.
Take a moment to read the directions before continuing and press Next when you are finished.
Continue reading the direction prompt on the next screen and press Next when finished.
Read the following prompt and touch Done when complete.
From this main screen, you will have the option to make a call, text, navigate, and other options using the Vlingo Voice Talk feature.
To start Voice Talk, touch the Tap & Speak icon or say "Hi Galaxy".
You will now be in the Speak Now main menu.
From here, you will have 40 seconds to say a voice command.
Take note of the command phrases for the proper way to phrase your request.
To make a call or send a message, simply say "Call" or "Text" followed by the name of the target contact.
If you choose text, it will take you to the text menu.
Speak your message, and say "Send" when finished.
From the main voice menu, you can alternately say "Send message to"
followed by your contact's name and the message you wish to send.
To access navigational directions, say "Navigation" from the talk menu.
Then speak the address of your destination.
Next touch the navigation application you want to use.
You will now have access to a map and turn-by-turn voice command directions.
To mute the directions, press the menu button.
Then touch Mute.
Press the back button to exit navigation and select OK.
Now select Driving mode.
With driving mode active, you receive notifications such as texts or emails through voice talk.
