We're going to add a variation to tadasana to finish the sun salutation. So if we inhale
both arms up, with all the thoughts of keeping all the joints, muscles, and bones in the
right order, the inhale creates length. And the exhale allows you to look up, and begin
to create a little baby back bend. Now if we know that we're using the sun salutation
to warm up the body, it's not a great idea to give your best back bend. Let's just gradually
walk through the sun salutation several times to create flexibility in the lower back, to
create the length. So, if you notice that Jennifer has her fingers met, it's only because
she's too tall. It's still there's an effort; there's always an effort to gain strength.
There's always more flexibility, more length to be gained. So when you stay in your pose,
and you're pausing, and you're vacationing, it's time to re-evaluate, and create more
length in the pose, in the muscles.
