My name is Mark Watts. I had laser eye surgery a week ago. All went well. I wanted laser
eye surgery because I wanted an alternative to glasses. They weren’t very convenient
for the job that I do and also I have a 2 year old daughter who did have great fun in
grabbing them as much as she possibly could. So they were starting to get damaged and I
thought rather than buy new glasses I’d look at what the alternatives were.
The treatment was brief, was the most surprising thing. It was really quite quick. It was uncomfortable,
but not painful. When you describe it to people, sort of a lot of people say that must’ve
really hurt, but it obviously didn’t. I've certainly had worse pain. No, it was little
uncomfortable, but not too bad.
I'm very pleased with the results so far. It’s only a week later and but actually,
to be honest, within 24 hours I could see very, very well. My long range vision is better
than it’s ever been, even with glasses, so yeah much happier, much improved.
Having laser eye surgery will definitely make it easier for me to do things like going swimming,
which is one of the few healthy things that I actually like, so I think that will make
life a lot easier and playing with my children. I have another one on the way and a 2 year
old at the moment and she does like to jump up and down on my head as much as she possibly
can, so yeah, I think it will make that a lot easier.
