Hi everybody, we're in the secret Samsung room which now is not that secret because
several Russian on-line editions have already been here. And everyone knows that there is
a new Samsung device calles Ativ S. This is how Samsung Galaxy SIII would look like if
it worked on Windows Phone 8. Feel the difference. I can't see it. The texture of the back
cover is the same as in SIII, the difference is that the cover is not glossy.
The same camera module, led flash, the same audio jack, the same speakers and sensors. The front camera
is 1.9MP. The only difference is that there is an element at the back cover where the speaker is hidden.
Unfortunately, we can't turn on the device because Microsoft will present Windows Phone 8 only in several months.
We could put the SIII battery but it's not allowed to do.
Apart from the battery there are slots for a microSD and a micro-SIM.
By the way, the cover is flexible and thin. On the right side of the device as in all Samsung gadgets there is a power button. Microsoft demands that all devices on Windows Phone 7 and 8 should have a hardware key for the camera.
On the left side there is a volume key. On the top of the phone there is an audio jack and an additional mic for noise damping.
At the bottom there is a microUSB port and the main mic. On the front there is a hardware button Home and two sensor buttons.
The device has a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM,
from 16 to 32 GB of user memory and video chip Adreno 225 which is responsible for graphics.
The display is 4.8" with definition 1280 x 720.
Besides, there is NFC chip, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-fi a/b/g/n and the battery of 2,300mAh.
I suppose that Microsoft should let people have a look at the operation system.
I think the device will cost about 25 thousand roubles.
