>>Interviewer: Your name please?
>>Yes, Julio Cesar García Crucieta, Secretary of Education
of the National Confederation of United Unions of the Dominican Republic
>>Interviewer: Julio Cesar, can you tell me a bit about how the Trust program of the promotion of labor rights has impacted
your organization and you personally?
>>The Trust and OAS programs have positively impacted me personally
because it has allowed me to better understand the concept of labor rights and
their relation with the clauses included in free trade agreements.
And in my own organization, many co-workers , at this moment
60 co-workers directly and some 300 indirectly have benefited from this program
by receiving workshops and seminars
where we have been able to analyze international conventions that our country has signed with OIT
so that we could see the clauses on labor rights that are included in the free trade agreements.
Because of this, your intervention for us has been very positive,
we highly value you and we believe this is an incentive that should continue to be developed
so that we can have a three-part dialogue in our country,
companies, workers and the government can be instruments to achieve respect for labor rights
and the competitively of our country can really move forward to benefit workers and the Dominican people
>>Thank you very much.
