Pottery barn Party Planner How to Make a Pear Tart
hey guys it's Ryan Scott with party planner for poverty barn showing you a simple great
easy brunch dessert that you can make any time this is a very simple almond
and pear tart so here's a pre-made pie crust that see you can buy in a store it's already fisnished
really easy so what I do is I take some parchment paper and some legumes
I set the parchment paper in, and these are just yellow lentils that I had in my pantry already
what I do is I weight them down make sure it's all the way flat
I'm gonna par-bake this, I'm gonna pre-bake it about fifteen to twenty minutes until the crust is set
and flat
that way we won't have a soggy bottom on the bottom of our crust when we go ahead and bake the whole pie
so our filler for this pie is going to be pears you can use apples if you want what I got back
here is my nice non-stick pan and and I'm gonna turn it on basically a couple tablespoons of butter
I'm gonna melt this down
and I'm gonna add these pairs inside these are bosc pears you can use anything you like peaches when
they're in season
apples you name I need three cups of this recipe
So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna dice these
uniformity is key with this, guys, when dicing be sure that you're slicing all the way through
my butter's popping I can hear it talking to me back here
nice and beautiful and I'm gonna take just a little bit of cinnamon, a dash of cinnamon inside here
toast that up, I'm gonna bring my pan over to my pears I'm not gonna take the pears to the pan I don't want them to fall the ground so
what you do
gab your handle
beautiful
go like so, put it right underneath the cutting board, you're good to go
okay so my pears have been going for a couple minutes
I just took off that little crunch, that little bit of bite they had left on them
I'm gonna turn them off and just let them sit in that pan
about fifteen or twenty minutes
this has been blind baking I've got one already done up front, let me show you exactly what I'm
looking for save these beans, save this paper it's not bad, it's not burnt, you can use it again
what you're looking for is this guy right here
it's nice and flat and golden and beautiful
there's no bubbles inside of it, it's just exactly what you want it to be this is the simplest dessert
one with no flour no measuring super simple what we're gonna do is add some almonds, almonds are
gonna be your binder in this I'm gonna add some butter, room temp butter please make sure it's room temp butter, otherwise
it's not going to come together our sugar it's just a little bit of sugar I think it's
about that much is good so what I'm doing is I'm pulsing the almonds, the sugar and
the little bit butter
making sure it's nice and creamy
once I get it to a nice creamy consistency, what I'm gonna do I'm gonna add three whole eggs
not just the yolks, I'm gonna add the whole egg, okay
this is going to just round out the
filling
pulse this, I'm gonna put some of these pears
just right on the bottom stud the bottom of the pan
with some meaty delicious pears
then we're going to take this mixture
put it right on top of our tart,
and we're gonna bake this
so this guy is good to go, we're gonna pop this in a three-hundred and fifty degree oven for about thirty
to forty minutes until it sets up You'll know when it's done is when you tap the side
or you take a knife
and put it right through the middle and it comes out clean, or when you tap it it doesn't wiggle around any more.
I wish you guys could smell this, this tart smells amazing i took it out of the oven and let it cool down
it's nice and relaxed and beautiful
the topper to this is I grabbed a little pottery barn
dome
Put a little leaf on top
make sure that everybody knows it's a pear tart with the same paper that we've had the whole
theme with the with the whole meal
enjoy it put it in the center of the table it's a focal point
remember this is
budget friendly and time friendly and have a good time when you do it
