My name is Wadzenai. I'm a second year student from Zimbabwe and I'm the social coordinator
for the International Student Organization. And the reason why we decided to get involved
with the Poverty Symposium is because we wanted to expose the different faces of poverty in
the countries that we come from and represent as students on this campus. We wanted to focus
specifically on how people cope in those kinds of situations, so giving the different shades,
what we call the faces of poverty in the countries that we come from and what it looks like,
and how people strive and survive and how life really does go on in those kinds of situations.
So that, I guess, is where we were coming from when we decided to get involved with
this symposium with the Rosenfield Program.
