I'm Dave Lammert, I'm part of the Property Commission at the church here, and I wanted
to show you and talk a little bit about the solar system. The solar system that we have
presently is our project number one, which the panels are here on the roof of the office
building, but it feeds the sanctuary and chapel electric. We have some 100+ panels up, and
in March, our March billing period, we made more electricity than we used. 253 kilowatt-hours
more than we used. And that compares with March of '11 and March of '12, where we used
an average of 3500 kilowatt-hours. So it's a great savings in that way. To continue,
phase two will be for our Simpson Hall and admin building, those panels will be on the
flat roof of the Simpson Hall building, and they will feed that meter, and that system
is planned to be completed by the end of this year. Just wanted to point out that this is
our meter for the sanctuary and the chapel buildings. It's a sunny day today, and we
are making power, and this meter shows that we are producing power and selling back to
Southern California Edison. This is just to show you the workmanship and the inverters
here. If you'll see them up on the wall here, there are four inverters, three big ones and
a smaller one, and then the main cut-off for the electric company here. And what they do
is convert the power off the panels from DC to AC, so that it can be used in our system,
and can be sold back to the electric company, which is what we do all week long, except
on Sunday morning, when of course we use more than we generate.
