I really believe being a part of FFA is important to me because
it's family tradition that I've been able to carry out. My grandpa was in FFA
in the 1950s, my dad in 1970s,
and I have multiple cousins and older siblings that have been involved.
I was in seventh grade my older sister dragged me along to my first FFA
meeting
I hated it. I didn't know what these people where I didn't know what these
blue corduroy jackets where
but over time as I began doing contest being, going to conferences and
conventions
I began to realize how big of an impact that this organization
will have on my future. I really believe that FFA is preparing
me as well as thousands of other students who wear this jacket
'cause it's giving them the skills to succeed; the public speaking skills, the job
interview etiquette.
All the skills that are essential for success in any career,
our members, including myself, are learning them in the high school level
which prepares them for careers in the future.
The most important skill that I'm learning is the ability to work together
as a team;
being in a situation where there's multiple people in a leadership position
be able to manage those leadership roles.
I would definitely say get involved in the organization! There's
opportunities left and right
and if you can just got take advantage as many as you can great things that
come from
your time in the organization.
