Ways to Establish an Online Presence in Network Marketing ****** Are you in sales? Are you in network marketing? Are you in real estate? No matter your area of business, or even if you’re in business at all, you have experienced objections. That’s just the nature of life. Drew challenges this nature with a few tips that will help you combat these objections and either avoid them or use them to your advantage. We’re at a very interesting time in the profession of f network marketing where we are in the blossoming age of technology and can easily communicate with our audience behind our computer screens, never truly connecting with them. Drew knows the importance of establishing a relationship with our audiences, and he reminds us how we should be using technology to spark these relationships and not to limit our personalities to that of a text bubble. Network marketing has grown and matured tremendously in the past two decades. Because of this, we must cater to both the generation that initiated the success of network marketing (baby boomers) and the generation that is continuing that success while pushing the limits (twenty-somethings). Now, the baby boomers started this profession and built their connections through making appointments on the phone, giving presentations, and then solidifying the relationship through a follow up phone call. Their entire approach to network marketing was done through the phone. Now, if you told twenty-somethings that if they wanted to build a career in network marketing, they would have to spend 8 hours a day at a desk, on the phone with their audience, they would cringe and walk away forever. Our world is rapidly becoming technology heavy, and, because of that, we must push for evolution within the network marketing world as well and find the correct balance of high tech and high touch, online and offline. Drew is a huge supporter of using Facebook but he stresses the importance of using it in a personal manner. Your profile should be a direct reflection of yourself; your profile picture should be a professional shot of yourself, not your brand or the logo of your network marketing company. Facebook is a social network and that is exactly how you should use it; it's a place where you can connect, add value, and contribute. It's a place where you can get into conversations and as you develop relationships online, you could, like Drew talks about in his book, potentially guide them through a process on Facebook through some engagement questions, and then you can book appointments, just like the baby boomers did. Facebook also now offers live stream video, which Drew is a HUGE supporter and participant of. He uses videos to communicate ideas and ask questions that initiate conversations with his audience. He spreads his videos by posting them to Facebook, YouTube, his blog, and Blab. If you’re not a fan of being in front of the camera but you do have writing skills, you can use technology to spread your ideas through a blog. However, you should challenge yourself to some time in front of the camera, because the more you put yourself out there, the more opportunities your audience will have to experience a connection with you.
