Miss Universe 2011, Selena Gomez sports Bieber ink, and two Hollywood "classics" get the
reboot treatment. I'm Heather and I've got all the deets coming up in today's Reel TV
News.
The 2011 Miss Universe pageant aired last night on NBC and Miss Angola Leila Lopes was
crowned the prestigious title of Miss Universe. The 25-year-old business student is the first
Miss Universe winner from Angola, beating out 88 other contestants for the title.
At her recent concert in Las Vegas Disney starlet Selena Gomez was spotted sporting
some new ink on her wrist that read "Justin" with a heart. So are things getting serious
between Selena and the Biebs? I mean the tattoo was permanent, permanent marker that is. According
to zap 2 it the name on Gomez's wrist was most definitely written in Sharpie. In fact,
by the time she left the stage, it had already begun to smudge.
Two Hollywood "Classics" are getting the reboot. New versions of the 90's film "Point Break"
and the 70's film "Sparkle" are reportedly in the works. According to Variety, Sony Pictures
is readying the remake of Sparkle with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and Whitney Huston,
with production slated to begin next month. So which remake are you excited for? Let us
know in the comments and we'll see you next time with more of the latest entertainment
news and gossip on Sidereel.
