Hi and welcome!
The first video in a series about
different peripherals.
Today I want to present to you
a small
Product that enables
your pc to use USB 3.0
through a
PCI-Express port (x1).
This adapter is made by
Anker
I dont know if I pronounce this correct
But it is A N K E R
I bought this on Amazon.co.uk
and it shipped quite fast, no problem there.
so lets take a look at
The box
the adapter comes in black box, as you see
I don't know if you can see it correctly
but they put a lot emphasis on things like
high-grade and high-quality and extra
extended warranty and customer service
so all in all they wanna do something
a little extra
So lets see whats in the box:
so what we have here in the box
is of course the adapter itself
the print
with 2 USB 3.0 ports
and also this card comes with 2 internal USB ports (3.0)
(Connected through you case or front-panels cable)
it comes with the standard bracket
for a normal sized ATX Cabinet/case
for normal sized desktops
regular sized form factor computers
but it also comes with a small-form factor bracket
and this also comes in black
with white typing on it
and I particularly like this because my cabinet and
my case it black
so it fits
one screw of course
while actually
sometimes irrelevant, this for some is ok
and a small
customer satisfaction voucher of some kind
well that
basically states that
the want you to review the product
this is also why I'm doing this for fun
and a instruction manual
which is just basically just saying: Install the card
and run the driver on the CD included
So that was that
one thing you'll notice is that
it has like a seal that has not been sealed
so this tells me that
they actually burn the CDs themselves by hand. So basically
I think the Anker product is a
probably a
re-branded
Chinese manufactured product
not that's there's anything
bad with it
It's just an observation
And of course the adapter itself comes
in a electrostatic-protected bag
case /bag
which is good
and the adapter itself looks like this
back here
you have the USB 3.0 20-pin socket
extended through a internal cable
adapter which will take two
like these ports
Just wherever you want them (inside case)
and it also requires
a 4-pin DC
voltage
cable which is inside most computers today
but ehm, yeah so
if you have a desktop
you can probably find the pass-through
otherwise this is just, you know,
pretty straightforward: You plug it in
yep that's that
so thank you for watching, and
see you guys soon :D Bye!
