My name is Ed Hemphill and I'm the co-founders of WigWag.
WigWag makes sensors and control devices to make things automatic in your home or business.
Rules built on our Smartphone app, makes your environment dynamic.
Our system is designed to give your your environment sensors and intelligence that ......makes....
Ah, ben can you turn that light back on?
anyway...that that's one of the many problems were trying solve.
why did that switch just go off. It just turns off - if it doesn't see motion.
...its no wonder that - after 100 years.. people are still doing this.
I've spent the last 10 years working with automated systems and I am here to tell you
Without fundamental change... we are going to be manually be flipping switches for the
next hundred years.
You don't want new buttons to push, you want things to just work automatically.
When you walk down a hall at night - your path should light up.
When leave your house - things should shut down.
And when you get that glass of water in the middle of the night, you want enough light
to come on but you don't be blinded by bright lights coming on.
So let's go back to that switch... The concept is good. Turn on the lights when
you walk in, save power when you're not there. the problem is, it doesn't sense other things
that animals and people can.
What if the room was aware of not only motion, but also temperature change, noise levels,
vibrations, number of entries and exits, door position
With these additional senses, the room would be a lot more intelligent.
More sensors means more intelligence. This is what the WigWag platform is all about.
Adding sense to your environment, So things can become intelligent and automatic.
When you're walking by a sprinkler, you don't want to get wet.
When the mail gets delivered, you want to get notified
When you want to go in, the door opens. When its time to get up, your environment
accommodates you. When you have both sense and control, things
become automatic. The modern automobile has over 100 sensors.
The average house has fewer than 10. WigWag is bringing sense and control to things
in your life.
So how does WigWag do all this?
We take a building block approach. First our platform is designed to absorb sensors
and control devices from all kinds of vendors. Second, we make our own WigWag devices to
solve the bigger problems. Most WigWag devices can both sense and control
things. Third, our smartphone application and cloud
service, ties it all together with rules. Rules are super easy to use. When a sensor
goes off, then control stuff. We also interact with a bunch of services on the internet.
That means you can sense and control things like email, twitter, or dropbox.
Rules are built right on the smartphone. In this rule...When it is cold outside, and night
time, we turn our steps blue and tweet.
This is the WigWag Sensor block. It has 8 environmental sensors and 4 control modules.
Its incredibly simple to install and setup,
and with it, you can essentially put your environment on autopilot.
This is the WigWag Glowline.
Equipped with 2 sensors and a tiny speaker, adding intelligent indirect lighting to any
environment is really easy to do. Here we have grouped the light controller with other
sensors and LED light bulbs like the phillips hue.
WigWag is so simple to use.... You can just deploy it when you want, and where you want,
Amy uses it to
To keep my kids safe
WigWag connects to many cloud services, so you can get information even when your not
home. Jake uses it to ...
Know when people are sneaking around they shouldn't
Wigwag can do simple things like turn your tv when you're not home, or turn on the closet
light when you open the door.
WigWag can also react to things that happen on the internet
The WigWag sensor has analog and digital expansion ports so you can add new sensors...
to know when I need to water my plants
The WigWag sensor block can control things with a relay.
to shut my garage door when I forget to
And wigwag lets you share your devices, so your friends can do the same stuff you can,
when you want them to.
There are so many ways to use WigWag. We could go on forever.
But the most important thing is that we get it into production. There are lots of ways
you can help out, and we have put together several packages for backers. If your excited
to get started with WigWag in your home or office, we have the Sensor, and WigWag Glowline.
For makers and developers we have the arduino adapter, and the Raspberry pi adapter board.
With these products you can start building your own devices that can participate with
WigWag.
Kickstarter... that you for watching our video. We appreciate your support. With your help,
we know we can make your environment a lot more intelligent.
