Caller: Hey Kristin and Dannielle, it’s, uh, Brad.
Um, I haven’t been having a good week.
I told my parents I was gay, and, um, they’re not really accepting me for who I am.
Can you help me out? Thank you. Bye.
Female Caller: I was just wondering if you guys would have any advice on introducing my girlfriend to my parents.
Caller: My sister came out as being gay about two years ago now.
I am also gay, but my parents don’t know.
Caller: Hey guys.
I recently have been questioning my gender identity and wanted to tell my immediate family...

Hi, I’m Kristin.
And I’m Dannielle.
And together we run an organization called Everyone Is Gay.
You may have seen us in the past answering advice online.
Kristin: We also make videos,
Dannielle: And we tour middle school, high school, and college campuses to tell people how to change the world.
We’ve run Everyone Is Gay for almost four years, and we’ve primarily been focused on LGBTQ youth that entire time.
But, we’ve realized that not only do you need us to talk to you,
but you need us to talk to your parents.
[Cheering and air horn sounding]
In October of 2014, we’re actually releasing an advise book for parents whose kids have just come out to them.
But we know that a book isn’t enough, which is why we’re going to also start a YouTube channel.
The YouTube channel is going to have videos for parents and their kids.
One type of video that you’ll find on the channel is a video that will address common questions that parents have after their kids come out.
Isn’t it just a phase?
What are you gonna wear to your cousin’s wedding?
Is this my faul?
We’ll also include videos that feature parents and kids talking about their coming out experience.
While we were writing the book, we spent hours and hours looking on the internet to see if anything like this existed.
And we didn’t find any other video resources for parents whose kids had just come out to them.
Which is exactly why we’re going to make it happen.
But we can't do this alone.
We need your help to get things like new video and audio equipment.
We want to bring a publicist on board so we can spread the word to even more parents.
We need to hire a web designer and a development team,
and what’s more, we want to pay for travel expenses so we’re sure to reach everyone across the country.
We’ve been able to do what we’re doing for almost four years because of you.
We know that with your help we can make a difference.
You probably just haven’t had the right boyfriend yet.
Have you met Cynthia’s son?
Tyler?
He works at TJ Maxx?
In the jewelry section?
[Gasps] Is he gay too?
