Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make
this delicious, traditional red velvet cake. With our frosting made, we can start frosting
the bottom layer of the cake. We're going to take one of the two layers and put it some
place on a serving platter. Something where you're going to be able to serve it from.
A lovely cake stand works quite nice. Also you'll have to put this in the refrigerator
to store so you'll want to be able to put it in something that will be able to go into
the refrigerator as well. You're going
to probably start off with about half of the icing or a little bit less. Try to start with
about a third of the icing put on top for you to start spreading around. If you need
a little bit more, than you can always get some more. You'll also need to be able to
have enough to frost the sides and of course the top layer of the cake. When you're doing
the sides, you'll just come over like this and go around the edge. The knife, you can
use a knife or a spatula, depending on what you have. There are also special icing spatulas
which come in handy as well but aren't necessary.
