Hello, thanks for watching use-IP's YouTube Channel.
Today we'll be looking at the Intellinet Power over Ethernet Injector.
This injector allows you to connect any IEEE 802.3af compliant device
to a non-PoE LAN switch port including a wireless access point, IP phones or of course IP cameras.
It has a maximum power output of 15.4W
and supports IEEE 802.3af detection and short-circuit, overload and high-voltage protection.
PoE injectors like this one are truly plug-and-play.
There are two main ports,
the input port here and the output port here.
Then the supplied power cable is inserted into the back.
There are many benefits to using Power over Ethernet.
It is ideal when AC power is unavailable, extremely cost-effective, simple to install
and can easily push your device up to 100m away from the extents of your network or mains
wiring.
