My name is Gouma Mahamat,
born and raised in Darfur, specifically the village of Muzbet, north of Kutum.
I’ve been in the United States for the past twenty years. I live in Brooklyn.
My concern is why won’t we stop the genocide that is going on in Darfur.
I’ve been in Darfur three months ago, I see my schoolmates, classmates more or less.
I see them 30%. Where are the others? Government Bashir knows where they are.
And when we say we lost 400,000 people, I did loss personally family members, friends, classmates, people from my home village.
And please, UN, act now, do something about it.
Genocide in 2007 is not acceptable on all levels. Thank you very much.
