[Intro Music- Kayne West "Stronger"] Hi Everyone! We are here today at Muhlenberg College
Today I am going to demonstrate 6 minute abs. [End music]
Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Bracetty and I am here to
show you how to get better abs!
All you need is a watch and 6 minutes a day!
Today, you will be able to demonstrate how to do ab exercises
and increase your physical fitness by completing the ab routine.
Lets get started! 6 minute abs is composed of 6 different exercises.
Each exercise is done for 30 seconds and then you repeat
and do the same 6 exercises over again. But remember- There are no breaks!
First, make sure you have enough space around you.
A gym mat, a carpet,
even a towel can be used for support- but any surface will be okay.
The first exercise is Regular Crunches. Remember to keep your elbows wide,
And avoid putting too much pressure on your neck
This can cause neck pain. As your crunch up,
Make sure that you flex your abs. Come all the way up, and all the way down
You will do this for 30 seconds, then switch. This second exercise.
Turn to the side, get your shoulders off the ground,
and crunch up to the side.
Then, crunch up the opposite way. Great job! You are half way there! Keep it
up!
To perform the bicycle, its almost as if your riding a bike.
You want to have your legs in a bicycle position.
And make sure that your elbow touches your opposite knee.
The next exercise is exercise number five. Its called the inchworm
Your legs are going to go completely out. And when you bring them up, crunch in.
Out...
The last exercise is called the plank. For the plank, you are going to be on
your elbows and your toes. Keep your elbows at a 90 degree angle
And remember, keep your butt down This is going to isolate your abs and you'll
really feel the burn.
Congrats! Now you are able to do all 6 exercises. Regular crunches,
Side Crunches on both sides, Bicycle,
Inchworm, and Plank. Remember, after each exercise is done for
30 seconds, repeat them and do all 6 another time.
Remember, you can look up these abs on Mrs. Bracetty's google site
or on YouTube as well. This is all it takes to strengthen your core
and to get better looking abs. 6 minutes a day! [Music playing- Kayne West
