Hello and welcome to ReviewsFromTheShed with myself James Lawson-Smith. Today we are going
to be reviewing the Artisan KAI.g3 Gaming Mouse Pad. Now this is the packaging that
the Artisan is sent in. As you can see it is very well packaged, all wrapped all around.
Very well addressed and everything. And it even has all of the Customs forms in as well.
So I've already taken it out of the packaging because it's that well packed, it's a bit
of a pain. Just zoom back out there. And now we're just gonna zoom in so II can show you
the front of the inner packaging. So this is the inner packaging itself. Has some writing
along the sides. I've been told it actually in Japanese and Chinese, so if anyone can
translate and leave that in the comments that would be great. You get a little sample window
of what the mouse pad will look like. The one I have is Navy they are available also
in a Red Wine Colour, which I'll put a little thumb nail just to show what that is. Write
so we're just gonna take the mouse pad out of the case itself. There we are. And there
is the mouse mat. Now this is the Large mouse mat that they do. They do them in a Small
and a medium, this is the, as I said this is the larger of the two. Now I have been
using this for about a week now and I've noticed that the tracking on my mouse has severely
improved using this product. Erm it's all to do with the Interwoven Layer that is on
top. Now it is a cloth top but it's not your traditional so of clothe. It feels almost
like the texture of an Orange, ya know to the touch. So I'll just zoom in there see
if you can get any of the detail of the top of the mouse pad. Now as you can see it's
sort of a little bit grainy looking on there. And it's to do with the interwoven sort of
layer of the mouse pad. I do apologise if it sort of going out of focus there. Just
while we're on a close up I'm just going to show you the back here. Now the back is a
grip. Has a non sticky grip layer. Now it's not actually sticky to the touch but it grips
to the table brilliantly. You can do some really fast mouse movements and your mouse
mats not going to go flying off the table. Now as I said it doesn't leave any sticky
residue like I know some lower end mouse pads do. Now as I said these are available in various
different sizes. There's a small a medium and a large. Now just to show you what sort
of size the large one is. This is a standard A4 piece of paper. I'm just going to cover
up half the mouse pad there. So that just goes to show the size of the mouse pad. So
if you know your paper sizes at all it's about the size of an A3 piece of paper. That's basically
two A4 sheets put together. Which is a standard letter size if you're in America. Sorry two
letter size pieces of paper next to each other. Erm, so yer. There available in a Red Wine
colour and also a Navy Blue . Now this is the KAI.g3 edition the 2010 version 'cos they
did do one in 2009 and 2008. Which I think where sort of different sort of technologies.
But this one overall I think is a great mouse mat and the price does reflect the quality
of this product. I mean ya know it's not going to fray at the edges at all. Erm, it is about
the same thickness as a standard mouse pad so it's not too thin and it's not too thick.
As I said this is the Soft one, so it's slightly bendable. Although they do recommend that
you don't bend or roll the mouse pad, because it sort of interferes with the woven technology
that they have used in the mouse pad. Now if you'd like to get hold of one of these
yourself I will put some links down in the description bar, so you can go along and check
the various different sort of Colours and sizes that they do. If you have any questions
or comments please leave your comments down below in the comments box. If you have any
