Warning! There are lots of spoilers for lots of Mario games in this video.
If you don't like spoilers, then just don't watch this video, I guess, kay?
Hello peoples, this is Glasses Freek, and I have to say,
Mario has had some pretty epic battles. I mean, come on, fighting Bowser Jr.
AND Bowser at the same time? Also, he got to fight some sort of machine, type
thing called Smithy! Heh, Smithy's a stupid name. But all of his final fights
have been epic, well, except mabye that one. That one was kind of easy.
Anyway, each final boss has had some epic music in the background, so I decided
to make my first top ten list. TOP TEN SUPER MARIO FINAL BOSS THEMES, well,
up 'til now. Now, these are SUPER MARIO final boss themes, so only games with
Super Mario in their title will be eligible, except remakes of Super Mario games
and sports games and stuff like that. Also, this is MY top ten list, so if
your opinion differs, don't get angry with me. Well, I think we should
start the list now, so let it commence!
NUMBER TEN! Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. In this final boss fight,
Mario is in a tiny little plane. And then an evil cloud appears... shooting...
chickens? Okay, that's kind of strange. After that, the final boss appears.
He is an alien that fires... cannon balls? What, no hi-tech lasers or anything?
Whatever, here is the theme.
NUMBER NINE! Super Mario World for the Super Famicom! In this final boss fight,
Bowser is in his Koopa Clown Car. He throws minions at you, makes fire fall
from the sky, drops bubbles on you, and even tries to pound you with his car.
None of these things really scared me. What really was THAT, her, right THERE.
What is she doing? Is she TRYING to freak me out? Anyway, after you defeat him,
the Princess comes down and it says, "Mario, the Princess, Yoshi and his friends
are going to take a vacation. (unenthusiastic) A vacation. Yay. Here's the music.
NUMBER EIGHT! Super Mario Brothers 2 for the NES! This final battle has an...
interesting enterance. You have to get into a floating hawk head's mouth,
(sarcastic) because obviously that's the right thing to do!
Then you face the final boss, a frog named Wart that shoots bubbles at you
and is hurt by vegetables. Luckily for you, there is a machine right next to
his throne that makes vegetables! I wonder how that decision was made.
(Wart voice) A machine that makes vegetables! I hate them! Put it right next
to my throne! Hey, at least the music is good.
NUMBER SEVEN! New Super Mario Brothers U for the Wii U! This final boss fight
has Mario fighting Bowser over a very deep pit. But Mario gets around Bowser
and presses a conveniently placed button behind Bowser. Bowser falls to his doom,
but Kamek comes along and sprays some of his magical... um... magic.
This makes Bowser HUGE and Mario has to fight Bowser AND Bowser Jr.,
who is inside his Koopa Clown Car. Hey, at least Princess Peach
is in the TOWER this time. Also, sorry the music has sound effects.
I couldn't find a version that didn't have them.
New Super Mario Brothers Wii for the... Wii. This final boss fight starts out
like the last one I showed. Very deep pit below, conveniently place button
behind Bowser, and room under Bowser to get behind him. The difference from
last time, though, is that Princess Peach is RIGHT THERE, so all Mario has to do is...
IT'S A TRAP! Oh yeah, it's Kamek again, and just like last time he makes Bowser huge.
At least there is another conveniently placed button at the end of the stage
that frees Princess Peach and defeats Bowser. Oh, and here's the song.
NUMBER FIVE! Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the SNES. This final
battle takes place in Bowser's youth when he was just a baby.
This was his first encounter with Mario, before he refined his Mario defeating
techniques, so this boss fight should be... oh, wait, no.
Kamek is there and makes Baby Bowser huge. (sarcastic) How original.
Unlike the last fight I talked about, though, you don't defeat him with a
conveniently placed button, but with conveniently floating eggs at Yoshi's disposal.
When you defeat Baby Bowser, you head to the right and rescue Baby Luigi and...
A STORK!? Pfft, these endings are getting worse and worse! Everyone knows
storks aren't real! Silly Nintendo! Oh, and here's the amazing theme.
NUMBER FOUR! Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii! It's the final boss fight, and
Mario and Bowser are ready to fight, except Bowser decides to tell Mario ALL of
his plans before they battle. Bowser isn't exactly the smartest guy ever, is he?
After that, they are ready to fight. All Bowser has to do is hit Mario and
Mario will fly off the platform to his death, but NO! Bowser decides to make
it interesting and move to another planetoid where Mario has a means to defeat him.
Will Bowser ever learn? The music covers up his mistakes, though, because it is amazing!
NUMBER THREE! Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS! This final battle has Mario
enter a room with Princess Peach tied to the flag pole... with a bow.
See, right there! She's tied up with a bow! Bowser, I didn't know you had
fasion sense! Anyway, Bowser tries to fall on top of Mario, but Mario moves
out of the way, so they both accidently fall through the floor.
Fortunately, there is a pathway to get back to the Princess! Mario has
to dodge ALL of Bowsers attacks while he heads up. Wait, isn't that...
THE BUTTON! And at the end of the fight there's... ANOTHER BUTTON!
Wait, if Bowser accidently fell through the floor, then why are there carpeted
stairs leading back up? And who set up the buttons!
There's a button! There's a button! There's a button!
There's an axe, oh, um... but it's triggered by a button! Bowser couldn't have
set up the button because he accidently fell through the floor, so who is it?
Could it be... Kamek? I mean, Bowser never wins when Kamek makes him huge.
So mabye Kamek is a good guy! And Kamek is there with a button!
And he's there with that button as well! Ha, point proven!
Oh right, the song, sorry.
NUMBER TWO! Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Wii! In this final boss fight,
Bowser has the "great" idea to, again, tell Mario what he is planning to do.
He also has the equally "great" idea to, instead of killing him on the spot,
put him on a planetoid where he can fight back. All of these ideas backfire,
though, and Bowser is sent into the abyss below. Ah, finally, now Mario
can get the grand star and...
IT'S A TRAP! No, not again! Bowser magically pops up and eats the grand star,
making him big again. Instead of crushing Mario on the spot like he could
have done last time, he roars and makes a wind tunnel of some sort.
This is where the theme gets REALLY awesome!
And now, the moment you've been waiting for, the number one Super Mario
final boss theme of all time is...
Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. Now, I know what most of you are thinking.
(whining voice) But Glasses Freek, you put this above Super Mario Galaxy 2! You
can't do that! Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a full orchestra, this song just has an organ.
Well viewer, you are correct. This song does only have an organ, and it was
a very hard choice, choosing between Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario 64.
I chose Super Mario 64 because Super Mario Galaxy 2 just has a little too much
hope in it, and hope is bad! I like Super Mario 64 because it is much darker,
and there is no hope for the hero, but Mario still defeats Bowser agains the odds!
So that was my top ten Super Mario final boss themes! If you have a different
opinion, please share. I'm all ears. Well, I'm going to let the music
finish this video. If you like this video, give it a like and a favorite.
It's much appreciated. Thanks for watching and please subscribe!
