We are at Otten's Small Engine in Sedalia, Missouri. We have a propane powered lawn mower demo
day. Today, we are standing in front of a Gravely
460 Pro-Turn commercial lawn mower that is OEM-converted to run on propane.
A lot of benefits of running your machines off propane - environmentally as well as financially
-have driven a lot of landscapers to move to the healthy powered lawn mowers.
It looks exactly almost identical to a gasoline powered piece of equipment, except you'll
notice they have propane cylinders onboard that will supply the fuel for them to cut
the grass. This is the side view, kind of the side-back
view. Like I said, we have two propane cylinders
mounted to it, securely strapped, so there's no problem with our fuel source.
Those are actually picked up and exchanged out empty and full.
It's a Kawasaki 27hp engine that is factory converted to run on propane.
It's got a propane carburetor, regulator, which supplies the vapor fuel to the machine
and it operates basically absolutely just like a gasoline machine.
We've got throttle control, PTO engagements, throw arms, your safety features are all on
board. It gives you all the benefits of the Gravely
machine, it just runs on propane. If you would like to know more information
about running propane mowers in your fleet, you can visit our website at www.moperc.org
to find out more information on the lawn mowers as well as incentives that are available in
our state as well as national incentives available.
