RICK TAYLOR: Konica Minolta is a global business that is
involved in marketing and servicing all
kinds of office products.
JIM INGRASSIA: We manufacture and sell an innovative line of
products that can be used in anyone's business, from
printers to production.
CHRISTOPHER HENRY: We were at a crossroads in terms of our
advancement of messaging technology in this company.
NELSON LIN: Through the growth and acquisitions over the past
many years, we needed to standardize on the different
types of tools and collaboration.
The key decision criteria for us in evaluating Google Apps
was partly about capability, the potential to partnership
with the right company, and certainly to create better
operating efficiency within our company.
CATHY LILLI: We started out this project looking for an
email only solution.
What was incredible to us was that we got Google Apps, we
got email, but we got everything else with it.
It would have taken us three years to do, had we built it
internally.
RICK TAYLOR: We saw in Google Apps a real
technology for the future.
We're trying to match technologies and capabilities
that will enhance our ability to compete in the market for
years to come.
CHRISTOPHER HENRY: Our total user base
is about 7,000 users.
The suite of products was such that we could give people a
lot of functionality very quickly.
NELSON LIN: If my organization grew by 20%, 30%, I know
Google will have the infrastructure to be able to
support that very easily.
CHRISTOPHER HENRY: So with having Google Apps, there are
no boundaries.
JAMES NORBERTO: We now have a real time tool to interact
with our colleagues, not only here in our corporate
headquarters, but in our offices.
We now have access to quick chats, Google Sites,
documents, collaborative efforts to really increase the
efficiencies of our teams.
NELSON LIN: That's the way we conduct business day to day.
It's the way we support our business processes.
It's the way we share information internally with
our key partners.
CATHY LILLI: And users have taken to Google Apps like a
fish to water.
That has really helped the projects and helped
communication here at Konika Minolta.
NELSON LIN: I found the performance of Google Apps to
be stable, fast, and really state of the art.
RICK TAYLOR: Konica Minolta's competitive advantage is we
have speed.
We have the ability to make decisions and do the right
thing for the customer, the employee,
as quickly as possible.
In today's fast paced world, that's essential.
CATHY LILLI: If you can move more quickly and have
technology part of the process, then what you do is
free people up to be innovative.
RICK TAYLOR: Any executive that really wants to enhance
the speed and productivity and innovation of their company
should look at Google Apps.
