in Dir we have two IDP Camps
one is in
Government Degree College
and the second one is
in Khunki
in both of these camps
we take care of cleanliness
even we have provided electricity in the college camp
for Khungi IDP Camp
we have contacted Wapda XEN
as meters are not available to us
whenever XEN gave us meters
we will give them electricity supply as well
we will provide these facilities
apart from that
we have provided them with sanitory workers
they collect the wastes to a certain place
and we have vehicles
which dumps the waste in the relevant area
regarding the issue of Mosquitoes
as currently its winter
so there are no flies or mosquitoes as such
whenever summer season begins ie.
from the end of April, May June
then we will provide spreying facilities as well
if Allaah willing
regarding the issue of Drainage
fortunately the location of both the camps
is such that we didn't face any problems but
in the season of moonsoon (rainy seasons)
in College IDP Camp we alread took measure
and did "Shingal" so that it won't be muddy
regarding Draining we alread taken care of things
Now Camp of Khunki as its located in the base of a hill
so there is a natural flow of drainage water from hill
and water passes without any hurdles but incase
if their arises problem in Tents regarding water puddles or else
we send our staff on the same day
and they resolve the issue immediately on the spot
dear brother amjad as we came here
and you can see for yourself that TMA
Staff within this Camp area is taken
care of Solid Waste Disposal (SWD)
they clean the Drainage locations
you can see it for yourslef that
they already cleaned the area
and they clean the camp on daily basis
then our vehicles dump the waste
they come twice in the week
in my opinion there are no such problems
but you can ask these IDP's yourself
regarding the efforts done by TMA and if
some issues pop up they inform us
and we try to solve the problem accordingly
regarding the matter of drinking water availability
I will just let you know that in the begining
when these IDP's started coming in to TamirGarah
and as these people didn't have any facilities
available for them regarding drinking water
so we tackled this issue by sending our Fire Brigade Tankers
at that time and right now as well whenever certain
emergencies arise we provide them with our Fire Brigade
water tankers to meat their needs and to assist them
and we did it in the past and we will do it in the future as well
with the Grace of Allaah
I belong to the area of Mamoon Kalay
and here we are IDP in College area
and regarding matter of cleanliness
our TMA is taking good care of us
they come on daily basis and do their jobs
they clean the drainage supplies
latrines and same goes for uplifting liter and garbage dumps
they dispose them off
in short they are helping us according to their abilities.
apart from them all the relevant government machinery
also helping us accordingly
I am the resident of Meen
my name is Mailma Khan
we are refugees in located in degree college
the medical care especially the medicines its not satisfactory
though they have hospital but they don't treat us well
that is we are short of medicines whenever we need them
I am the resident of Badam Kalay
we demand from government to rebuilt all the structures
all the roads to our villages are closed down
our relatives are left behind
we need peace and security
and we don't need nothing else from you
we demand from the government to provide us peace
Bismillahe ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
dear brother amjad
right now we are standing at Khungi Camp area
this is the largest IDP camp of Lower Dir
there are approximately 7'000 refugess are residing
drainage is natural in this area
and our staff on routine basis take care of garbage & filth
and when garbage dumps are sufficient enough
our vehicles come and uplift it timely
we also provided them water through our
Fire Brigade Water Tankers
but whenever need arises we try our best to meet their needs
and try to resolve thier difficulties
my name is Ismael
and I am among the effectees of Bajuar operation
and here i am vice chairman in Khungi Camp
regarding the over all issues they are not that good
i.e to say to meet established standards ingeneral
two three staff members show up and work out thing
its not like they planned it in first place
like they sent the vehicle to Tindako area to uplift the disposal waste
i will advise you to go inside the camp and see it for yourself
it would have be good if they had gether together all the
waste in one specific area and then uplift and dispose it off
then things would have been much better
one very important thing
the Tents they are not in sequence they are
arranged haphazardly God forbids if there is fire accident
then this whole camp will burn in one single blow
then this whole camp will burn in one single blow
