I think in the past as a commissioner
doing searches to inform your commissioning models and commissioning process,
there's so much that comes up when you're for that. It's really quite difficult to
differentiate what's good, what's bad and you are overwhelmed by what's there.
So when you go onto the NHS Evidence website
it's all there, it's one website, one search engine.
And you can rapidly access a variety of themes of information.
The NHS Evidence accreditation mark is really useful when you're searching for information.
There's such a wide range of information out there that you don't always know where that's come from.
But when you see the NHS accreditation mark you know that it's from a robust source
and that the evidence that it's based on is good and therefore
it's appropriate for me to use
I like the way
that it looks. It's very clear and easy to actually access.
And also I like the filters on it so I can actually
search by commissioning which is my particular focus.
So I don't get a whole raft of information that isn't relevant to my role;
it's very specific to the searches that I require.
Being able to save a search or a particular document from a search is a really useful tool.
I often have a short window of time to collect this information
so being able to come back to that at a later point is really useful.
Certainly I'd recommend it to my colleagues in the commissioning area
as a useful tool to support their work.
