Oil of Oregano and Chronic Bronchitis
By
Dr. James Meschino, DC, MS, ND
I want to talk to you about chronic mono, Epstein-Barr, chronic fatigue and treating
those conditions with oil of oregano. Oil of oregano is quite a special thing; it’s
got active constituents that have been shown to kill certain viruses, bacteria, the fungus
that can lead to yeast infections and other microorganisms that can be harmful to the
body. Oil of oregano is like nature’s antibiotic,
and this is especially true for the type of oil of oregano known as the P73 wild oregano
blend. That’s the one you should really use; it’s the most potent and it’s got
the most research behind it. Why would you consider using it to help fight
chronic mono, Epstein-Barr and chronic fatigue? These are all primarily viral infections.
Antibiotics don’t kill viruses, so you need something that has a viral killing effect
and oil of oregano has just that. The active constituents in oil of oregano that have been
shown to have these anti-viral properties are thymol and carvacrol which are volatile
oils that are made right in the plant. I use the 250 mg. capsules of the P73 wild
oregano blend when I’m dealing with a lot of chronic conditions or even when someone
is trying to fight the common cold. For chronic mono, Epstein-Barr and chronic fatigue I normally
give the patient 4 capsules, 2-3 times a day until improvement is realized. In these situations
usually the immune system has been compromised, as well, so I typically will recommend some
immune modulation nutrients as well to work with the oil of oregano. I’ll give the person
specific dosages of reishi mushroom extract and astragalus, a high-potency multi-vitamin,
extra Vitamins C, D and E, and also 2 tsp. of the 14 Mushroom Blend that’s available
at http://www.MushroomHarvest.com. Those medicinal mushrooms have great immune modulation affects.
But to actually kill the underlying viral cause of the problem, the P73 wild oregano
blend is where you really have to begin. With chronic fatigue, it’s important to
rule-out any other underlying causes. You should have your serum ferritin levels checked
in order to learn what your iron levels are. To rule-out adrenal fatigue, you’ll want
to know your cortisol levels, and to be certain your problems aren’t related to an underactive
thyroid, you’ll want to know your TSH blood levels and both the free T3 and the free T4
factors. I have information on all of this on my website
at http://www.MeschinoHealth.com. If you’d like more research on the adrenal-thyroid
connection, low iron levels, etc., you’ll find articles there that I’ve written, as
well. Right now, you need to download my eBook called
Oil of Oregano; Nature’s Antibiotic. It will show you how to source the right oregano,
which dosage to use for different conditions – including these chronic mono, Epstein-Barr
and chronic fatigue situations. It will also show you which nutrients you should be using
in conjunction with oil of oregano, and exactly which doses to get your immune system back
into the fight. At http://www.MeschinoHealth.com, you’ll
also see my other research and research papers, you’ll see videos I’ve created, footage
from my live professional seminars, other downloads and resources I’ve created that
are available for free. All of these have been designed by me to help you lead a long,
healthy and functional life. You don’t just want to be alive; you want to be functional,
vibrant and disease free for as long as possible. All my research articles that are there and
my teaching materials that are available have all the scientific references at the end so
you’ll see that you’re getting only sound, scientific information on any subject that
you’re looking for. You really should use http://www.MeschinoHealth.com
as an ongoing, reliable resource for health and wellness information on any topic that
you’re looking for when it comes to the health of you or any of your family members.
Thanks so much for your time.
