We’re here with The Royal British Legion Riders Branch, I’m just going to go round and ask you to introduce yourselves first, Graham introduce yourself first
Hiya Bob, my name's Graham, I’m club liaison officer for *** Turpin’s Disciples MCC at this moment in time
about 80% of the club are also members of The Royal British Legion and a thoroughly large percentage of us are ex-services as well,
so if they want to introduce themselves…
Hi, I’m Nomski, I’m his other half, and I’m also a Royal British Legion Supporter.
I’m Barbara; I’m the Membership Secretary now, also known as Fluff.
I’m Fluff’s mate Steve. Vice chair of *** Turpin’s Disciples and proud to be a member of the British Legion Riders.
Bill, I’ve been in the Riders Branch for about a year now.
Jackie, Chairman of *** Turpin’s Disciples, and also a Royal British Legion Rider.
I’m Mike, former resident of Gabriola Island, British Columbia, and I’m the Administrator for *** Turpin’s Disciples
Motorcycle Club and also a member of the RBL Riders.
Why would you ever leave Gabriola Island?
I’m Jimmy; I’m part of the British Legion and also *** Turpin’s.
I’m German John, I’m a member of the British Legion, and *** Turpin’s and proud of both.
Hi, I’m Chas, again, another British Legion Rider, and I’m also a member of *** Turpin’s.
Graham, tell us what you’re doing here today.
It’s just a club run-out with *** Turpin’s. As an MCC we’re very much a family orientated club, we like to get out on the bikes
as much as possible, party at weekends etc, and we like to fly the flag for RBL wherever possible as well.
We pass the word on, pass the message, give flyers out and wherever possible we try to push the Legion Riders branch as
being supportive of our Armed Forces and their dependents and that’s the bit we like doing.
