Use advanced motion shortcuts to make the most of your Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Watch this video to learn how.
Begin by enabling the advanced motion features.
Pull down on the notifications panel from any home screen.
Then touch the Settings icon.
Now scroll down and select Motion.
At the top of the page, switch the activation switch from off to on.
Now switch on all of the motion features.
Return to your home screen by pressing the Home button.
Touch Apps, and open Email.
To quickly refresh your email list, simply shake your device in your hand gently.
Now scroll down your list of emails.
If you would like to quickly return to the top of the list
tap your finger on the top of the device twice - like so.
To take a screen capture from anywhere on your device
simply swipe the side of your hand across the screen.
A scanner-like animation will let you know that the screen has been captured.
To quickly access your screen capture
pull down the notifications panel and touch "screenshot captured".
Another great motion feature is the Pick Up To Call feature.
To use this, first touch the Home button.
Then touch Apps.
After that, touch Contacts.
Now select a contact you would like to call.
To call them, simply pick up your Galaxy Note II and hold it to your ear.
Another feature which enables you to check your notifications from the lock screen
is the Quick Glance feature.
To use this feature, first touch the power button to turn off your screen display.
Then put your phone on a flat surface facing upward.
Now move your hand over the device sensor.
Your status information will now be displayed on the screen.
