6 FLOORS WITH CLORINDO
6th FLOOR
DESIGN APPROACH
I made quite of arquitechture quite of painting, and a few things in design.
but the way of approaching is exactly the same.
so, I did not tackle so much design because they weren't asked me things.
If I'd been asked I'd have made it all. Understand?
with the same serenity I face architecture or art issues.
The image is in your mind
so, you don't need to be drawing to reach a chair design.
I mean, you think it in your mind and then you draw it.
It happens a bit with everything.
When you start thinking about a project,
what you think is how it works.
That's the foundation. Understand?
It must to work well.
So, that is one of the things which you win a contest,
so, you try to make everything
easy to the people.
At the same time you don't separate things
when you are thinking about a plant of a building
you don't think only in the plant, you think about the all picture.
It is like if I say, think in National Congress
You think of the facade
you think of the plant, how to get into it, the stairs, everything
Someone can ask you to make something
or you can participate in a contest.
The bases of the contest are the person who is speaking
It depends a bit on how it is what you've been asked
by someone or by the bases of the contest
for you to make the ladder
as it was 50 years ago
or make a new and distinct one.
The contest has an advantage
not talking.
So, it is all what you need without talking.
Client is different, because client talks.

DAILY CHALLENGES
A client comes and tells I want a house, but with a tile roof.
It's an incentive. Understand?
How do you do for that tile roof
doesn't be a dog house roof.
To make a chair... I enjoy it.
because you are thinking how to make it in a current way.
It is not a job...
retirement doesn`t exists...
so you never stop working
because, I have fun doing things.

CHILDHOOD
When I was sixteen
my dad asked if I had already thought what career I'd study.
So, as my dad was a doctor I said maybe medicine
and then my old man said, no way!
so medicine was ended to me.
Over there, the car
is a draw from 1930,
and in the other side is written the word "mother" because I was been teaching to write.
3rd FLOOR
ART
It's as if it would be a city.
because it is the grid of Buenos Aires City.
where those stains are like inundations.
There was a bishop in Trujillo City.
He did at the end of s.VIII
a survey of the architecture, the plants...
all the research was drawing
so I made this story.
Outside is the alive bishop inside a confessional.

EVERYTHING CHANGES
Colour changed
50 years ago there wasn't so much colour
also the paintings weren't so good.
so, at the same time that materials are changing, also is changing the architectura.
It is part of the history
and you're changing what you did.
The Mortgage Bank (in Buenos Aires City) is a relative enlargement, because
that is a batch, beside the bank, that will be appended
but you don`t make it like 40 years ago.
You do not have this fixation about what you made can't change.

PRESENT
There is an idea to make in Mayo Av.
of giving to each plastic artist or architect some roller shutters to be painted.
So lots of roller shutters in the streets will be made by me.
My idea is make all of them equals.
The same drawing in differents measures according to every roller shutter.
what will going to change are colours.
You have to make a site plan.
If they were all vertical it would be too bored
so, I'm going to tilt it to make a difference between it and the person who is looking.
I think it can be fun.
I had the lucky of having made major buildings
I won some importants contests, that have influence in town.
so, you know what you did has value.
