Hello Gilad. Hi.
Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Enon.
Nice to meet you.
The reason we dragged you over here
and disturbed a very necessary cigarette break,
is that I follow you on Twitter,
I'm stalking you,
and I noticed that not long ago
you set off on a trip
from Dan to Eilat as it were,
and you only stayed at Dan hotels,
or something like that,
that was the theme,
and you just talked about the trip
all along the way.
I personally found it very interesting,
very engaging.
Now, I'm a Twitter-addict
and I know it, and I'd just like
to hear a little about this.
What interested you in it,
what was the goal,
if it fulfilled your expectations,
whatever the goal was?
I supervised ballot boxes
during the election,
and I decided ahead of time
that after the intense period
around the elections
I would take a week or two
of vacation and rest.
I was trying to decide what to do,
to go abroad or something,
in short I said that I like it best here,
it's restful for me here,
and I decided to go on a trip in Israel
and sleep in a different city every night,
and to tour various places
in the area every day.
I traveled alone, without anyone else.
Just me and my car,
and my friends on Twitter,
and Facebook, and TheMarker cafe,
my Internet presences.
It was really fun.
The thing that caught my attention
was that it was like a continuing story,
and live, obviously, it's Twitter.
It was kind of like reality TV,
only without the not showing parts
on camera and the editing and all.
It was very, very engaging.
Now, I understand that it wasn't
a commercial activity but...
I know a lot of people on Twitter
and they all talk about
their day to day lives,
this was the first time
I saw someone telling the story
of what's happening to him live.
Was there any interesting feedback?
Did anyone make contact
who you didn't know before?
I'm going to show you something cool.
Now you've got me.
I love cool things.
This is my business card.
You see it?
Now I'll turn it around.
Ok, I've been living this digital life
for many years now.
And I have to say
that I've made a lot of contacts,
of all kinds, personal,
business, customers,
workers who have joined our group,
just all kinds and types,
that started in the digital medium,
on the various platforms I'm active in.
I come to all kinds of conferences
like this one,
and I see a friend from Facebook
and a friend from Twitter,
“What's up? How are the kids?”.
I see it as a need today,
it's necessary if you want
to manage a business in this world,
and when you want to be active in,
and part of, a community.
Lots of people don't see it that way,
and that's fine.
A lot of people didn't use the Internet
when we started using it.
Do you see this thing turning into
part of people's Internet
or commercial presence,
do you see the CEO of Matzot Rishon,
to pick a name at random,
sending a Tweet,
“We've just shipped the first
matza delivery of this Passover”?
Or will it....
I'm certain that this is what will be.
I don't think, I'm sure.
I think that this thing will grow,
and more than that I can say
that even my dad follows me on Twitter,
which is a bit pressuring,
very pressuring actually.
The truth is that the most
pressuring moment I ever had,
politics aside,
is when I got the notice
“Avigdor Lieberman is following you”.
That was just....
Ok, that's truly pressuring.
But I think this way I manage
to keep my Twitter interesting,
my Facebook interesting.
the community has grown,
in our company too,
we have a not-site,
we don't have an Internet site,
but we have all the content on our not-site,
the company has Twitter,
and Facebook,
and TheMarker cafe,
and even a page in the Yellow Pages
with the address and phone numbers.
So with us it's an all-over thing,
because that's how we live.
And because we live that way,
we can do the best work for our customers.
Thank you very much,
it was very interesting meeting you.
All the best.
