morning everyone this is Trent Pepecelli from Innovative Marking Systems
this is our first installment of our video blog
on the pad printing process
what we are hoping to do here is to give you a weekly installment
of all aspects of pad printing and the process of pad printing
in terms of ink mixing to cliché making
applications and troubleshooting for all sorts of different things
most of it very fundamental very basic things that we have seen
over and over again that result in difficulties for people
they could be solved by very basic adjustment to things
fundamentally what we are looking it is an attempt to
is take the black art out of pad printing and let you see
the mechanics behind it and the practical nature
to most solutions to the pad printing process if there are issues
what we essentially want to do is take the voodoo out and put the science in
and when your in the field and confronted with a problem you will
be able to understand it and which steps to take and find the solutions that's best
for your application
in your situation all of that is clear from basic building blocks right from the beginnings
the cups your choose in ink mixing how you make your photopolymer plates
what your atmosphere is like what your environment is like there are all sorts of
there are all sorts of things and variables to control and understand in order to make
the process work
we are going to get real hands on here this is not going to be real slick on how we approach
it
their is going to be a lot of shaking cameras and zoom ins and cuts and me fumbling over
my words
and the other ladies and gentlemen that are going to be participating in this are going
to have some fun
and try to show you what where doing on a day to day basis
so that you can incorporate these teachings into your process you can come out on top
so fundamentally you want the process to work and not be channeling you want production
speeds
to go up you want good quality product that your customers are happy with and
you want to be satisfied with the work that your doing
I think if we look at things in a practical way and practical level we are
Going to be able to help you with that
This is the introduction there is going to be something every week
All of this is very basic but hey we go into the field with people with half a million
dollars in equipment
And they don't know what cups to mix there ink in and stir sticks to use
Its going to be basic at the beginning
Its going to be short and sweet and they are going to come out on Fridays
And hopefully you will find them useful if you have topics you want us to work on let
us know
We will incorporate as we move along and hopefully everybody likes it
We appreciate your feedback and thanks a lot we hope you like the first episode
