Hello everyone! I'm Sakis Karpas, your usual host and this is the Razer Kraken Forged Edition headset.
This is an elite stereo headset with two outstanding selling points: Its unparalleled build quality and its studio quality sound.
Since we're talking about an elite and special product, the Razer Kraken Forged Edition does not come in a green retail package as usual.
We remove the hard paper slipcase in order to get access to the black sleek looking box of the headset that has Razer logos on it.
The first thing we found inside is a Razer Sticker set, manuals and some quick notes which are not important for now.
The headset comes with a premium, sleek hard carrying case that protects it during storage and transportation.
Also, the case has a small net that you can use to store your accessories. We'll show them to you in a bit.
As soon as you hold the Razer Kraken Forged Edition headset in your hands, you immediately notice that the designers truly outdid themselves with an unparalleled build quality.
The Razer Kraken Forged Edition is crafted with ear cups that are machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum which as a result offers extreme durability.
The Razer logo on both ear cups is carved while the true highlight of them is that they are finished with diamond-cut edges.
Even though the headset is mainly consisted of metal, it only weighs 390 grams which makes it ideal for comfortable and long use.
The leather head band has a Razer logo on it, it is of average size and it is quite comfortable for long music and gaming sessions.
The fact that the ear cups are foldable makes the overall experience even more addicting.
The headset can be connected to your audio device through an audio jack cable. The retail package of the Kraken Forged includes two audio cables which one of them has an inline microphone.
The audio cables can be connected to the bottom part of the left ear cup and lock in with a small rotation.
Moreover, Razer included a ¼ inch audio connector which adds even more versatility to use with other devices.
The custom tuned 40mm neodymium magnet drivers are what makes the Razer Kraken Forged Edition stand out from the original Razer Kraken, which are responsible for a studio-grade sound.
We were amazed by the sound isolation of the ear cups that made us feel like the world around us was on mute mode.
We put the Razer Kraken Forged headset to the test by engaging in every sound activity the average user will. Various music genres, video games and movies.
The Razer Kraken Forged will satisfy all your listening needs at everything you throw at it but there are moments that it truly captivates you.
With the exception of certain music genres that have gentle sounds, the Razer Kraken Forged Edition headset shows its teeth in low, mid and high frequencies with a crystal clear quality.
Be careful when setting the volume to 100% because you can get your head exploded.
The Razer Kraken Forged Edition headset covers a wide range of consumers, from casual gamers to music industry professionals.
We wanted to get some feedback from top greek music industry professionals, so we contacted DJ ALX and DJ The Boy and they expressed their love about the new Razer Kraken Forged.
The Razer Kraken Forged Edition headset is available now with a starting price of €280.
