Perhaps you wish to merge a data layer of points containing women’s apparel
clothing stores to a data layer of points containing men’s clothing stores,
so that they become one new data layer.
In ArcMap, have both data layers open.
Then, click on the ‘ArcToolbox’ icon.
Double click on the ‘Data Management Tools’,
then ‘General’, and then double click on the ‘Merge’ Tool.
Under Input Datasets, click on the dropdown arrow
and add the two files you wish to merge.
Under Output, give your newly merged data layer an appropriate name.
And click ‘Ok’
Your new data layer is added to your map, containing both women’s and men’s clothing retail.
