The modified half fish lord pose can be done during prenatal yoga. Now I'm going to have
Emily do it. Now it is a spinal twist and you do not want to be taking this to your
full capacity. Remember to be very mindful of that baby inside you. So extending the
left leg, (instructs Emily to go ahead). The right foot comes to the mat, nice bent knee.
And you want to kind of bring it as close to your hip as possible, close to your baby
as possible. Now when your in half fish lord, you're usually twisting to the side the knee
is bent. In this modification you are twisting in the opposite direction. So, I'm going to
have you hug that right knee in with your right arm drop your left hand behind you and
spider moodra on those finger tips. It kind of prevents you from leaning on it. Take a
nice inhale, lift through the heart. As you exhale gently twisting to the left. Keep the
spine long. Now notice she's not straining her neck looking over her shoulder. She wants
to keep her neck and her shoulders relaxed. It's just a very gentle stretch. Now as she's
breathing she's massaging the baby. Feels really nice, it's a nice beautiful breath.
Nice beautiful pose. Take one more breath. Perfect. Deep inhale. As you exhale, slowly
unwind and release the leg down. Modified half fish lord pose.
